Description
Peek (Polyether ether ketone) is a high-performance thermoplastic material that is known for its excellent mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. Peek is often used in industrial applications where high temperature, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength are required.
A peek seat is a component that is often used in valve applications. It is a seat made from peek material that is used to provide a tight seal between two components.
A peek o-ring, on the other hand, is a type of o-ring made from peek material. O-rings are mechanical seals that are used to prevent the leakage of gases or liquids. Peek o-rings are known for their excellent chemical resistance, high-temperature resistance, and low friction coefficient. They are often used in applications where standard elastomeric o-rings would not be suitable due to their inferior properties.
Sealing principle:
The peek seat is a V-spring that is used as a force-applying element. The seal housing made of PTFE composite or peek has a good leak and crush resistance. As a seat seal ring, it is widely used in high-pressure valves, usually, the inner and outer seal rings of the seat are used together.
