Copper slag is a low cost expendable abrasive suited for open blast cleaning and due to its low silica content it does not pose the health hazards created by silica sand. Its sharp, hard particles can provide a fast cleaning action and an excellent surface profile. It is available in various sizes
Copper slag is abrasive blasting grit made of granulated slag from metal smelting processes (also called iron silicate). Copper slag abrasive is suitable for blast cleaning of steel and stone/concrete surfaces, removal of mill scale, rust, old paint, dirt etc. Suitable for SA-3, SA-2 and SA-2. Copper slag blasting media/grit is manufactured of the granulated slag of copper refineries, and used for blast-cleaning of metal surface. In different industries it is called different names abrasive powder, grit, copper slag grit, mineral grit, grinding grains, etc.
Blast furnace slag is a nonmetallic coproduct produced in the process. It consists primarily of silicates, aluminosilicates, and calcium-alumina-silicates. The molten slag, which absorbs much of the sulfur from the charge, comprises about 20 percent by mass of iron production. The average chemical composition of the material is the following: CaO 36.50% MgO 7.90% Al2O3 11.70% MnO 1.13 % K2O 0.43 % Na2O 0.22% FeO 1.71 % SiO2 38.73% TiO2 0.69% S 0.86% We have available two different lots of slag GRANULATED BLAST FURNACE SLAG The granulated blast-furnace slag is sand-type slag manufactured by spraying high-pressure water jets on a blast-furnace molten slag.

Copper slag blasting media/grit is manufactured of the granulated slag of copper refineries, and used for blast-cleaning of metal surface. In different industries it is called different names abrasive powder, grit, copper slag grit, mineral grit, grinding grains, etc. but its main use is still for surface blast-cleaning. Internationally the described media is manufactured in compliance with ISO 11126-3
Blasting the grit at the surface is the most advanced approach for metal surface cleaning before paint spraying. The blasting media manufactured from copper slag brings less harm to people and environment than sand. The product meets the most rigid health and ecological standards.

GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag) - is a by-product of iron and steel manufacturing, obtained by rapidly cooling molten slag from a blast furnace and then finely grinding it into powder. It is widely used as a cementitious material in concrete production.
GGBS Applications
1) Cement Replacement - Used in blended cements (PSC, PPC) for greener products.
2) Ready Mix Concrete Production -Enhances workability, strength, durability and lifespan of structures
3) Road Infrastructure - Used in Pavements, Bridges, Tunnels for longevity.
4) Marine & Underground Structures - Provides high resistance to chloride and sulphate attacks
Copper slag is a by-product of copper extraction by smelting. During smelting, impurities become slag which floats on the molten metal.
Copper slag is mainly used for surface blast-cleaning. Abrasive blasting is used to clean and shape the surface of metal, stone, concrete and other materials. In this process, a stream of abrasive grains called grit are propelled toward the workpiece. Copper slag is just one of many different materials that may be used as abrasive grit. Rate of grit consumption, amount of dust generated, and surface finish quality are some of the variables affected by the choice of grit material.
Internationally the described media is manufactured in compliance with ISO 11126-3[4]

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag(GGBS or GGBFS) is obtained by quenching molten iron slag (a by-product of iron and steel-making) from a blast furnace in water or steam, to produce a glassy, granular product that is then dried and ground into a fine powder.

Product Description -
Synthetic slag is an artificially produced slag consists of oxides of Calcium , Magnesium and Alumina in different proportions for conditioning secondary steel processing slag .The key factor for producing good quality of steel is processing and effective separation of slag .
The specification of Synthetic Slag varies plant to plant due to the difference in manufacturing factors ,hence making Synthetic slag is a tailor made product suitable to individual specification and use .However We manufacture different slag based on Customer's specifications & Requirements

Copper slag is a by-product produced during
the smelting of copper, which is then processed into
abrasive products. Typically it is composed of Ferro
silicate material and oxides formed when the
molten slag is quenched in cold water. This cooling
process fractures the slag into coarse, angular particles
making it an ideal choice in many applications. It is a
low-cost expendable abrasive suited for open blast
cleaning and due to its low silica content, it does not
pose the health hazards created by silica sand. Its
sharp, hard particles can provide a fast cleaning action
and an excellent surface profile. Applications of Copper
Slag include abrasive blasting, building materials,
landfilling, road construction, abrasive tools, cutting
tools, tiles, glass, and roofing granules.
Synthetic Slag is neither a by-product nor a blended material, but a calcium aluminates with controlled composition. Pre-melting ensures a homogenous consistent chemical composition, as well as the most efficient mineralogical phases.
In secondary metallurgy, Synthetic Slag is preferably added during the tapping operation of the steel into the ladle. The flux will quickly form a reactive and fluid slag with the other materials.
