During Rice milling, a byproduct known as Husk is generated. Machines separate rice husk from the paddy grain. Approximately 78% is the paddy grain, on the other hand, the rest 22% is the husk. This Rice Husk is extremely beneficial and useful. Usually, this husk is used in the rice mills. It helps in generating steam for the processing paddy. It is also capable to produce energy through gasification.
Almost 75% of this husk contains volatile matter. However, the rest of the 25% of the husk is converted into ash. This happens during the firing process. This ash is commonly known as Rice Husk Ash (RHA).
