As PTFE has a very low co-efficient of friction, so the surface of skived teflon PTFE sheet has similar friction levels to ice. Skived teflon ptfe sheet can work at and is the best electrical insulator of all known plastics.

Ptfe thread seal tape is made of 100% ptfe and has the structure of net expandable mini filament. It has good roughness and longitudinal strength and is liable to laterally deform. It is ideal for packing and thread sealing, but unsuitable for applications where there is contact with high-concentration oxygen or liquefied oxygen.
