Melamine modified APP is a flame retardant based on phosphorus /nitrogen synergism, free formaldehyde,manufactured from TFAPP02 with melamine modified according to own method.
TFAPP02-T is different from TFAPP02-1 in the following properties:
-Reduce solubility in water
-Reduce viscosity in water
-Obviously improve dispersibility and compatibility with polymers and resins
-Increase fluidity of powder
-Improve thermal expansion efficiency during inflaming retarding process and insulation performance.

TFAPP02-T can be used for all applications that ammonium polyphosphate is suitable. They are more fine than TFAPP02, which makes TFAPP02-T has better dispersion in plastics and rubber than TFAPP02.

It can be used in intumescent fireproof coatings and thermoset resins, such as polyurethane, UP resin and epoxy resin. It can also be used in the retardant of fiber, wood ,rubber and plastic products. Due to its high molecular weight(n>1000) and good heat stability, APP can be used as main ingredient of expanding retardant thermoplastic.,especially used in the PP achieving UL94-V0 for electronic unit.
Ammonium Polyphosphate II is used as flame retardant insolvent based and water based intumescent coatings. APP II is also used as flame retardant in unsaturated polyesters, epoxies, polyurethanes and flexible and rigid urethane foams.

Applications
On account of low water-solubility, SHIAN-APP-II is specially suitable to be used as acid source for intumescent coatings. Intumescent coatings on the steel structure can meet the requirements the DIN4102 fireproofing grade. For polyurethane foams, SHIAN-APP-II is a suitable halogen-free flame retardant. SHIAN-APP-II has an excellent flame retardant effect in the fibre base material such as paper and wood products. Adding 15-20% SHIAN-APP-II to Casting resins based on epoxy resins or unsaturated polyester resins can reach UL 94-V0 grade.
Ammonium polyphosphate
