A molecular sieve is a material with tiny, uniform pores that is used to adsorb gases and liquids. Unlike common filters, the molecular sieve operates on a molecular level. It only could adsorb molecules which are small enough to pass through the pores, such as water molecules. Because of this, the molecular sieve is usually used as a desiccant, which can adsorb water up to 22% of its own weight.
Molecular sieves often consist of aluminosilicate minerals, clays, zeolites, active carbons, synthetic compounds, etc. that have pores which small molecules can pass through. Usually, a 4 to 8 mesh sieve is ideal for gas phase applications, and a 8 to 12 mesh sieve is perfect for liquid phase applications. The powder forms of the 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X sieves are used in specialized applications.

Sodium alginate is the optimum printing paste in modern printing & dyeing industry, it is widely used for cotton, wool, silk, nylon, synthetic fiber, particularly applicable to discharge printing paste preparation. It also can be used in warp sizing, it not only save grains, but also making the warp fiber not fluff, friction-resistant, no breakage, so that fiber weaving efficiency is improved. The use of such products can be diversified; you can move the cold/silver paper on to the cloth with 150-170 by the traditional process, and you could also move the gold/silver paper to the cloth directly before the paste dry completely.

Application methods

1. It is a synthetical thickener with high molecular acrylic polymer, widely used in emulsification-type and water-based pigment printing.
2. It is a high-class thickener which easy use and quick pasted.
3. It can simplify the pigment printing preparation course, make the slurry with good fluid, color glow and clear outline.

It is a long history that sodium alginate is used as printing paste. It is a kind of excellent paste for printing, which is applicable for printing of cotton, feather, silk and compound fiber. It can't be replaced by any other material at present.
The largest characteristic is that it can't react with active coloring matter and can't produce covalent bond. It doesn't contain hydroxymethyl and only contain choh.Meanwhile, there is carhboxyl with strong negative electricity on its base ring.Therefore, it not only absorbs coloring matter, but also has exclusion that can make coloring matter move towards fiber from paste; furthermore, it has good effect for printing that keeps good definition and equality and makes printing become clear, fresh and high color content; meanwhile, it also makes printing have good feel and fastness.
