The difference between ductile iron and gray iron

1. Different chemical composition

2. Different organizational structures

The structure of nodular cast iron contains nodular and ferrite, and the distribution of nodular is uniform. While the structure of gray cast iron is mainly ferrite and pearlite, and the distribution of pearlite is uneven.

3. Different performance

Ductile iron has high strength and toughness, and has good corrosion resistance. It is uitable for the manufacture of high load and high pressure parts. The hardness and wear resistance of gray cast iron are high. It is suitable for the manufacture of friction and wear parts.

We can also produce ductile iron fittings(dn80-2600) in accordance with iso 2531. Bs 4772. En 545. Awwa c110, c153(8inch-56inch) fitting socket is push-on joint. Flange joints are dimensioned and drilled according to iso 2531, pn 10, pn 16 and pn 25. All the fittings are class 12 except the tees, which are class k14. The external protection of all the fittings is by zinc and bitumen /epoxy painting according to iso 8179 and the internal protection of all the fittings is by cement mortar acc. To iso 4179. We also produce and weld various kinds of flange pipes according to the requirement of the customer.
