High precision non-contact grating
Primary advantages
- P120 series gratings are integrated stainless steel circular gratings, with 20m incremental grating lines engraved on the cylindrical surface, and optical reference marks, available in a variety of sizes.
- The non-contact form eliminates backlash, torsional errors (twist), and other mechanical hysteresis errors inherent in traditional enclosed encoders.
- The rings are mounted with excellent accuracy and have a tapered mounting system that reduces the need for highly toleranced machined parts and eliminates eccentricity.
