Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) is based on plant oil as main raw material, is a yellowish liquid,the relative density of 0.875, insoluble in water, stable structure, non corrosive.
Application
1. FAME is the raw material of plasticizer EFAME, it can be used in plastic industry.
2. FAME(biodiesel) as fuel can compound combustion, it improves the engine emission standards with fully combustion and carbon free, to reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide by adding biodiesel. It has been widely used as a new type of energy at home and abroad.
3. FAME is widely used in the synthesis of high surface active agents, such as it can be produced to Fatty Acid Methyl Ester Sulfonate(MES) via sulfonation neutralization.
4. FAME can be hydrogenated to produce fatty alcohol, fatty alcohol can be used in plastics, leather, textile, synthetic detergent etc.
5. FAME can be used as the additive of high grade lubricating oil, perfume. It is also as the main raw material of degreasing agent, penetrant, emulsifier and painting.
