PET bottle washing line working principles
Our turnkey PET bottle washing line consists of our range of plastic recycling machines which are connected using various types of conveyor systems.

Unpackers: The first step in our plastic bottle cleaning line is to break up the compacted PET bales into a free-flowing stream. Once the large bales have been "broken", the bottles are free to move to the next machine.

Tumbler screen: An optional piece of equipment, the tumbler screen is a slowly rotating tunnel lined with small holes. These holes are slightly smaller than the PET bottles, so that small pieces of contamination (e.g. glass, metal, rock/dirt, paper etc.) can fall out when the PET bottles are moved to the next machine.

Plastic Granulation Machine
A plastic granulation machine, also known as a plastic granulator or plastic pelletizer, is a device used to transform plastic waste into small, uniform plastic pellets or granules. These pellets can be used as raw materials for various plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding.

Working Principles
Feeding: Plastic waste, such as discarded plastic products or post-industrial plastic scraps, is fed into the machine's hopper or feeding system. The waste is usually in the form of larger pieces or chunks.

Shredding: The plastic waste is first shredded into smaller pieces using blades or knives. This step helps in reducing the size of the plastic and preparing it for further processing.

Grinding: The shredded plastic is then further reduced in size through grinding. Grinding mechanisms, such as rotating blades or a rotor, break down the plastic waste into even smaller particles. This process increases the surface area of the plastic, making it easier to melt and form into pellets.

Melting and Extrusion: The ground plastic particles are fed into a heating chamber within the granulator machine. Heat is applied to melt the plastic particles. The molten plastic is then forced through a die or a screen with small holes to create cylindrical strands or filaments. The strands are formed by the action of rotating screws or rollers within the machine.

Cutting and Cooling: As the strands exit the machine, they are cut into uniform lengths by a cutting mechanism. This results in the formation of plastic pellets or granules. The pellets are usually cooled using air or water to solidify them and prevent sticking or clumping. In some cases, a vibrating system is used to separate and cool the pellets.

Collection and Packaging: The plastic pellets are collected and stored in containers or bags. They are then ready to be used as raw material in various plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding.

The entire process is typically controlled and monitored by a control panel that allows operators to adjust parameters such as temperature, speed, and cutting length to achieve the desired pellet quality and production efficiency.

After processing by our PET bottle recycling machine, the final PET bottle flakes will have less than 1% moisture content and the dried and clean PET bottle flakes can be sent to our pelletizing machine for direct pelletizing. We can provide PET bottle recycling machines with capacities from 300kg/h to 3000kg/h. The end product PET bottle flakes are of stable quality and have various application grades. The PET bottle flakes, which are cleaned by the PET recycling machine, can be used for the production of polyester staple fiber, PET tape, pellets, PET transparent film flakes, etc. The high-grade PET bottle flakes can also be used for the secondary molding of PET bottles.

Friction Washer Plastic Recycling
Friction Washer Plastic Recycling are used to clean and dewater polyethylene (LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) waste plastics. These are widely used cleaning lines in the plastics recycling industry because they are suitable for cleaning contaminated waste in both film and rigid forms.

The machines and machine features that make up the rigid and film cleaning lines are selected based on throughput per hour, type and percentage of contamination.

Size reduction of waste plastics classified as film or rigid plastics is accomplished by a crusher or granulator in the first stage of the cleaning line. The shredded plastic is transferred to the washing section of the line using a conveyor or screw conveyor.

Floating PE - PP is separated from heavy contaminants (heavy plastics such as PET, PVC, glass pieces, metal caps and coins) in a tank float water tank and is deeply cleaned by friction washers and turbine washers. The type and quantity of washing equipment is selected according to the type and percentage of contamination.

After shredding and washing the plastic is dewatered through film dewaterers, turbo dryers or rotary dryers depending on the form of the plastic. After dewatering in the relevant machine, the washed and dewatered plastic is transferred to a storage system.
