Marble is a metamorphosed limestone, consisting of very pure calcium carbonate. The different types of marble have densities between 2500 and 2800 kg / m3. Because of its beautiful, almost transparent light, solidity, relative isotropy and homogeneity, marble is very popular as a building material and in sculpture, although it is a rather hard stone for manual processing. The temperatures and pressures required to convert limestone into marble are so high that any fossils present in the limestone are destroyed.

Talc is one of the most common minerals in metamorphic rocks. Talc is the softest mineral and has a very low rating in terms of hardness of the material. Talc has the lowest hardness among all other minerals. Talc can be easily scratched using fingernails and can be cut into fine pieces with a knife. Talc has a melting temperature of 1,200-1,500°C, making it one of the hardest minerals to melt. Talc can be found in various colors, such as white, grey, green, blue, pink, and black.
Talc has many applications in industrial processes in the fabrication of many different products.
