3- Do not require bleaching or chemical material to soften its fibers or whiten its color, it's very safe on skin BUT OTHER Needs bleaching, by using Caustic Soda and Chlorine solutions that make the fibers corrode. The final product cannot be labeled as natural and it is not chemical-free.
4- The Egyptian Loofah could be used for many months if you keep it clean and dry between uses BUT if another Loofah is used only one time then it will decompose.
Loofah sponge is generated from the old pumpkin type of fruit (Cucurbitaceae). There are two species that are usually used to produce sponges. Namely Luffa aegyptiaca or blustru, bestru, petola and Luffa acutangula or oyong, luffa. Sponge made from the fruit flesh which was already old and dry. The texture is rough, dry and slightly chewy. But still safe enough to be used on the skin as a natural sponge
