We consider using the cast Alnico5 type magnets with the following
Parameters, size, polarization and quantities:
A. 20x20x20 mm3 cube magnets. 4000 pieces
B. 20x20x40 mm3 rectangular magnets. 2000 pieces
C. Arc magnets with the dimensions provided in the attached drawing
below. Quantity: 1000 pieces with A: North and B: South and 1000
pieces with A: South and B: North. Total:2000 pieces
D. Arc magnets of the size specified in item C above, polarized in the
below arrangement:
a. A: North B: South. Quantity: 500 pieces
b. D: North C: South. Quantity: 500 pieces
c. A: South B: North. Quantity: 500 pieces
d. C: North D: South. Quantity: 500 pieces
Total 2000 pieces in the Haibach arrangement.
Parameters: Br: 1.28 Tesla. BH: 43.8 kj/m3. d: 7.3 gr/cm3. Tw: 550 degrees C
The magnets will be arranged in a ferromagnetic ring(magnet holder) of 248
mm in diameter with a 188 mm central hole. It is 780 mm in length.

We shall use two magnet holders sequentially for heating of an Aluminum
billet of diameter 178 mm and length 760 mm up to 450 degrees C for the
extrusion process. This billet will rotate in the static magnetic field produced
by the system of the above-mentioned high parameter permanent magnets.
The speed of rotation will be determined according to the field strength in the
air gap between the magnets and the Aluminum billet. We anticipate the field
strength of minimum 0.4 Tesla (4000 Gauss) at ambient temperature.

Please bear in mind the fact that once we are successful in this trial project,
we shall order a substantial amount of magnets for the extremely fruitful Turkish and the Middle East market. As the success of this project will be beneficial for both sides, you are welcome to offer a better quality magnet
and a more efficient arrangement considering the application briefly explained above.
