Cyclone Dust Collector is a system used to enhance the quality of air released from industrial and commercial processes by collecting dustand other impurities from air or gas. Designed to handle high-volume dust loads, a dust collector system consists of a blower, dust filter, a filter-cleaning system, and a dust receptacle or dust removal system. It is distinguished from air purifiers, which use disposable filters to remove dust.
Multiple-cyclone separators consist of a number of small-diameter cyclones, operating in parallel and having a common gas inlet and outlet, as shown in the figure, and operate on the same principle as single cyclone separatorsâ??creating an outer downward vortex and an ascending inner vortex.
Multiple-cyclone separators remove more dust than single cyclone separators because the individual cyclones have a greater length and smaller diameter. The longer length provides longer residence time while the smaller diameter creates greater centrifugal force. These two factors result in better separation of dust particulates. The pressure drop of multiple-cyclone separators collectors is higher than that of single-cyclone separators, requiring more energy to clean the same amount of air. A single-chamber cyclone separator of the same volume is more economical, but doesn't remove as much dust.
Cyclone separators are found in all types of power and industrial applications, including pulp and paper plants, cement plants, steel mills, petroleum coke plants, metallurgical plants, saw mills and other kinds of facilities that process dust.
Pulse Jet Bag Filter
The Bag House/Bag Filter is generic name of Air Pollution Control Equipment. It is designed around the use of engineered fabric, filter tubes, envelopes or cartridges in capturing dust, separating dust or filtration process. AIL provides reliable and highly efficient Bag Filters and Bag House systems.
The dust laden gas enters through inlet nozzle and spreads all over the entire cross section of the bag filter. The gas moves up & passes through the bags, enters the clean air plenum through the top open end of the bags. During the passage of the gases through the fabric, the dust is retained on the outside surface of the bags. As the filtration proceeds the thickness of the dust layer on the fabric surface increases resulting in increase in pressure drop across the fabric. This necessitates the cleaning of the bags. Since the air flow is from outside to inside, the bags tend to collapse and are held by the wire cages, whose shape they acquire. The compressed air passing through the solenoid valves injects air at very high velocity for a short duration. This produces a shock wave causing the bag to expand and dislodging the dust cake which falls into the hopper. This unit is generally meant to operate with a pressure differential of 100-125 mmWG.

BACKGROUND
* Two of such actions are providing special alloy studs on inbed coils and applying highly abrasive resistant refractory on the outer bottom loops of inbed Coils which are above the fuel feed nozzles.
* GANESHAS has taken number of approaches to identify the key factors affecting erosion rates with an objective to enhance the life of inbed tubes as well as implementing the corrective action to reduce the erosion rates.

* Erosion of inbed coils in fluid bed combustor is unavoidable phenomenon however the rate of metal wastage and thus the life of tubes depends on various factors like ash & fuel properties, design of Combustor / feeding system, flue gas velocities operating conditions etc. It has been also observed that maximum erosion prone inbed coils are those which come above fuel feed nozzles and an area of approximately 1 to 1.5 mts around fuel feed systems are badly affected.
