Vanadium pentoxide series of sulfuric acid catalysts can be used in the process of sulfuric acid production, to be more specific, is the process of SO2+I/2O2---SO3. With the help of Vanadium Catalyst, the rate of conversion can be improved greatly. It can guarantee the air speed of operation to add 10-20% more when using type star ring catalysts or ring catalysts.
Vanadium catalyst can be applied in many fields, such as, sulfur-based acid production, pyrite-based acid production, nonferrous smelting gas-based acid production, gypsum-based acid production etc.

Chinese traditional types of catalyst S101 series broad temperature and S108 series low temperature, which are equivalent to the types of BASF O4-110/O4-111, TOPSOE VK38/VK48 and MECS LP-120/LP-110 with shapes cylinder, ring, star ring and Triangular prism.
Type S101 Catalyst is a medium broad temperature vanadium pentoxide catalyst to promote the oxidation of SO2 and O2 to give SO3, which is developed independently in China. This catalyst has a manufacturing history of over 40 years with high standard quality and steady performance.
Advantages: This catalyst has advantages of wide applicability, broad range of temperature, high conversion and high mechanical strength. Ring or Plum Blossom Ring shaped catalysts have solved some problems with cylinder shaped catalyst, which are small pellets, high pressure drop and high energy consumption, bad resistance of dust accumulation.
Type S108 Series sulfuric acid catalysts are invented in early 80sâ?? by China. The advantages of them are outstanding. In general, they are low ignition temperature, high activity in low temperature, high-resistant crushed strength etc. If can be used together with medium temperature type catalyst, such as, S101, you can make more profits; for instance, high conversion, and lowering environmental pollution.
1). Type S101 series are broad temperature catalysts which suit for every bed of converter.
2). Type S108 is low temperature catalysts which suit for 1/3 top of the first bed to decrease inlet operating temperature, and 4th bed, 5th bed to improve equilibrium conversion and decrease gas emission.

3.LS112 Type Cesium Catalyst(VK59/69/Cs120/110)
Low ignition temperature; higher activity in low temperature; high-resistant crushed strength, high anti- poison; high anti- pulverization etc.
LS112 cesium-promoted catalyst integrates not only the active constituent of vanadium pentoxide and the promoters of cesium and potassium salts, but also the carrier of select diatomaceous earth. Its activity under low and high temperature conditions keeps high due to the unique manufacturing process and optimized formulation.
Cesium-promoted catalyst enables new opportunities for improvement in start-up time, energy efficiency of electricity throughout the operating cycle and strong reduction in SO2 emission that far lower than national standard. The product is the all-around catalyst suited for all stages in converter due to its low ignition temperature and good heat tolerance under high temperature condition.
Cs series enables the compliance with pollutant emission standards due to its enhanced activity and longer service life.

This Cesium Vanadium Catalyst is mainly used in the Section I upper part, Section III, Section IV and Section V of the converter. Operating temperature is 390 -620
S112 series cesium vanadium catalyst is made by taking refined composite diatomite as high-performance carrier with new techniques. Alkali metal cesium and potassium compounds are adopted as promoters so that vanadium pentoxide and promoters uniformly and fully penetrate into the carrier in the form of solution. The cesium vanadium catalyst is thus refined.
S112 low temperature series vanadium catalyst has high activity level, especially in the temperature range of 390-620 . Its ignition temperature is 320 . The vanadium catalyst has the following features:
1.The reaction speed is faster than that of ordinary catalyst, and it is especially suitable for the low atmosphere conditions of high concentration of sulfur dioxide or oxygen and sulfur dioxide in the Section I. Compared with S108 ordinarylow-temperature catalyst, it can effectively reduce the inlet temperature by about 20
2.It has good low-temperature activity and can greatly reduce sulfur dioxide emissions when used in the Section IV and V of the converter.
3.Under the reaction atmosphere with high impurity content and harsh conversion conditions, it has strong pulverization resistance and long service life.
