ACSR Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced is used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding for desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
Aluminum alloy 1350-H119 wires, concentrically stranded around a steel core available with Class A, B or C galvanizing; aluminum coated (AZ); or aluminum-clad steel core (AL). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease. Also available with Non Specular surface finish.

Stranded 6201-T81 high strength aluminum conductors, conforming to ASTM specifications B399 are concentric lay-stranded, similar in construction and appearance to 1350 aluminum alloy grade aluminum conductors, and has a greater resistance to abrasion than conductors of 1350 aluminum alloy
ACSR have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels,because they have such good characteristics as simple structure,convenient installation and maintenance,low cost large transmission capacity.And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.
Construction
This bare concentric-lay stranded conductor is constructed with a straight round central aluminum wire surrounded with one or more layers of helically-laid aluminum wires. These conductors are also manufactured as compact conductors if required.
6201 is also available.

Applications
Sino-cables type AAC is suitable for
