Turnout, also called railway switch, is a connection equipment from one railway to another railway. Usually there are a large number of rail lines at the marshalling station. With turnout, even single-track railway, two trains could run from opposite directions through construction of an out-section line which is longer than train, railway line can fully function to its limitation.
A single turnout usually consists of a frog, a switch, two switch points, two guard rails, straight and curved closure rails, stock rails and switch stand.
Rail Rubber Pads, also called guard rail plates, which are set between the frog guard rail and the turnout sleeper to provide a firm connection condition for the guard rail and the running rail (basic rail) to ensure the width of the guard rail rim groove and driving safety.
The guard rail pad is one of the important parts of the track, and its function is to ensure that the vehicle smoothly passes through the special area such as the switch part or the bridge without derailment accidents.
