Palakkadan Matta rice is a popular rice variety of Kerala. It is red in color and is rich in magnesium & calcium.

Kerala Matta rice(Semi Polished, Parboiled) is from Palakkad district from a PGS organic certified, farm. Red, medium size roundish grains, double boiled , semi-polished, with 40-50 % bran. This rice is aged, traditionally double boiled in farm and is known for its taste and cooking quality. Pre-soak for 2 hours, pressure cook with 1: 3 water 4 whistles on high & 2 whistles on low fire.
