Soda Feldspar is generally a clean white mineral which sources sodium, alumina, and silica along with some potassium and calcium. Albite mineral from which soda feldspar is derived is often tends to be white in appearance compared with the pinkish hue of orthoclase mineral from which potash feldspar is ground.
Feldspar is used as a flux in ceramic and glass industries. It also adds strength to the body. Feldspar is a rare occurrence of extremely pure mineral free from mica. The chief use of Feldspar is in the Ceramic and Glass Industries. In ceramic bodies, the main vitrifying (fluxing) agent is feldspar.

Feldspar is most common rock-forming mineral. It generally white or very light in colour. The feldspar refers to the group of Aluminium silicate of potassium, sodium and calcium. Among the numerous rocks in which they are present the feldspars are particularly abundant in igneous rocks.

Properties of Potassium Feldspar
1. Hardness: 6-7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
2. Color: Typically pink, white, or gray.
3. Crystal Structure: Monoclinic or triclinic crystal system.
4. Density: 2.56-2.58 g/cm³.
Uses of Potassium Feldspar
1. Ceramics and Glass: Used as a flux to lower the melting point of quartz and other minerals.
2. Paints and Coatings: Used as an extender and filler.
3. Plastics and Rubber: Used as a filler and reinforcing agent.
4. Abrasives: Used in the production of abrasives, such as sandpaper.
5. Construction: Used as an aggregate in concrete and asphalt.
Benefits of Potassium Feldspar
1. High Alkali Content: Potassium feldspar has a high alkali content, making it useful in ceramics and glass production.
2. Low Melting Point: Its relatively low melting point makes it useful as a flux.
3. Abundant Supply: Potassium feldspar is a relatively common mineral, making it widely available.
Occurrence of Potassium Feldspar
1. Igneous Rocks: Found in igneous rocks, such as granites and syenites.
2. Metamorphic Rocks: Found in metamorphic rocks, such as gneisses and schists.
3. Sedimentary Rocks: Found in sedimentary rocks, such as sandstones and conglomerates.
Interesting Facts
1. Name Origin: The name \"feldspar\" comes from the German words "feld" meaning field and "spath" meaning spar.
2. Economic Importance: Potassium feldspar is an important mineral in the ceramics and glass industries.
Potassium feldspar refers to a number of minerals in the feldspar group, and containing potassium: Orthoclase (endmember formula KAlSi3O8), an important tectosilicate mineral that forms igneous rock. Microcline, chemically the same as orthoclase, but with a different crystalline structure.

Zimbabwe "BIKITA minerals (pvt) ltd" production of lithium feldspar and lithium feldspar, compared with many obvious advantages.
For example: pure, very low iron content, no need to calcine (refers to the ceramic industry), good results, high efficiency, environmental protection, cost-effective and so on.
There are a variety of grades to choose from, can meet the requirements of different industries.
Containing 4.0-4.7% lithium.
