Light liquid paraffin oil / White Mineral oil - Technical grades represent the Technical White Oils with slightly different test requirements and are developed for applications in polymers, plastic industries and animal feeds besides certain non-critical applications in packaging and food machinery lubrication where minimal food contact is expected.

Technical.grades are available in all viscosity grades starting from 8 cSt @ 40 deg C to 100 cSt @ 40 deg C and with pour points ranging from -5 to -30 deg C.

Fuel oil, also called furnace oil, fuel consisting mainly of residues from crude-oil distillation. It is used primarily for steam boilers in power plants, aboard ships, and in industrial plants. Commercial fuel oils usually are blended with other petroleum fractions to produce the desired viscosity and flash point.

Transformer oil is a mineral insulating or cooling oil derived from crude petroleum. It is a mixture of various hydrocarbons consist partly aliphatic compounds

These are the petroleum products, like Napthenic based transformer oil and Paraffinic based transformer oil. Napthenic based transformer oils are known for their heat distribution, which is one of the main problems with transformer. This also has a good flowing feature under low temperature and it is wax-free. These type of oils are better for low-temperature. Even though it oxidises easier, the product formed by this process (i.e sludge) is soluble. Hence, it won't obstruct the cooling system of the transformer.

Paraffinic based transformer oil is obtained from paraffinic crude oil using solvent separation methods. This is known for its good thermal and oxidation durability and good high temperature viscosity feature. Because of its high viscosity index due to the presence of wax, though the oxidation rate is lower than the napthenic oils, the precipitant or the sludge is formed due to the oxidation. This might become an obstruction for the heat dissipation.

The quality of bitumen 60/70 depends on its physical properties and specifications. Apart from penetration test, there are a number of test that are used for specifying bitumen 60/70 including viscosity, softening point, ductility, loss on heating, and flash point.

Some of these items are more important for suppliers of bitumen 60/60 and their customers. These are softening point and flashpoint. According to ASTM D36 method, the softening point of bitumen 60/70 is between 49 to 56 �°C and the flash point of bitumen 60/70 is 250 �°C.
