This analysis was conducted by Glow-Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS), which allows microanalysis of all elements. The result indicates the ultra-purity of the copper, proving that the quantities of all elements other than copper are below the detection limit. It is well known that ultra-high-purity metals possess very unique natures sharply different from those of ordinary metals.
High purity copper ingot as adding elements can be directly applied in aviation, space atomic industrial super alloy, and the development of new alloy, as well as the analysis of the standard sample. It can also be through mechanical processing preparation into high purity copper foil shielding materials for atomic reactor.
