Oxygen sensor
Oxygen sensor is a kind of metallurgy detection probe which is designed to measure the oxygen content and temperature of the molten steel fast, accurately and directly.
1. Application: used for primary melting furnace, lf and rh furnaces and so on, oxygen probes measure oxygen activity of the molten steel and the oxygen activity of the molten steel in the treating process, which can guarantee the deoxidizer addition, shorten the refining time, help to develop new varieties, improve technology, and promote steel purity.
2. Main features and range of application:
Oxygen sensor has three types:
1)oxygen sensor for high ppm
2)oxygen sensor for low ppm .
3)oxygen sensor for ultra-low ppm.
Sensors have an internal thermistor fully sealed for temperature monitoring. Sensors are housed in a polypropylene body for long-term use underground. Two head options include a diffusion head for field use and a flow-through head for laboratory use.

SO-B0-001 Limiting Current Type Zirconia Oxygen Sensor Operational Principle
When voltage is applied to a zirconia electrolyte cell, oxygen is pumped through the zirconia disc from the cathode side to the anode side because the carriers of the current flowing through the zirconia electrolyte are oxygen ions. By attaching a cap with a pinhole on the cathode side of the cell and by increasing the voltage over the cell the current shows saturation due to the rate limiting step in the transfer of oxygen to the cathode. This saturation current is called limiting current and is nearly proportional to the ambient oxygen concentration.

LOX-02-F LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor General Description
The LuminOx Flow-Through Optical Oxygen Sensor Allows For A Clean Gas Sample Stream Directly Into The Sensor Which Can Be Completely Removed From The Process Environment.
The LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor is developed and manufactured by SST, it is part of the LuminOx family, which is a range of factory calibrated oxygen sensors which measure ambient oxygen levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen, also known as luminescence quenching.
The LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor (LOX-02-F) is an extension to the standard range of LuminOx oxygen sensors. The original LOX-02 sensor was designed to be completely immersed in the sample gas environment as the base of the sensor is not gas-tight.
The flow-through housing style is sealed on the base which allows for a clean gas sample stream into the sensor which can be completely removed from the process environment. A flow-through housing allows for better sample gas management and options in terms of where the sensor can be situated.
The patented technology allows SST to produce a range of sensors that are based on a non-depleting operating principle. This can contribute to the LuminOx sensors having a comparably longer lifetime that other competitor technologies, such as galvanic sensors, for similar applications.
LOX-02-F LuminOx Flow-through Optical Oxygen Sensor Features
* Luminescence-based optical technology, NOT electrochemical
* Contains no hazardous materials; RoHS & REACH compliant

OPTOD Optical Dissolved Oxygen & Temperature Sensor Optical technology:
The OPTOD sensor is based on luminescent optical technology and is approved by the ASTM International Standard Method D888-05.
Without calibration requirements, and thanks to an ultra low power technology, the OPTOD sensor is suitable for field work as well as long and short term monitoring.
With no oxygen consumption, this technology gives an accurate measure in all situations, even in very low oxygen concentrations.
