Application:
PTSA is widely used as a catalyst and an intermediate in various applications:

1. As a catalyst in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, manufacturing of plasticizers, paint & coating industry, cross linking reactions, curing agent, organic synthesis, esterification, condensation, polymerization, alkylation etc.

2. As an intermediate in the manufacturing of fine chemicals, dyestuffs & pigments.

3. As a curing agent in thermosetting resin systems, acrylic resins, foundry resins (sand casting).
