Samance Fresh Mangoes are harvested from Guimaras, an island in the Philippines that is famous for its beaches and mangoes are known as the sweetest in the world. The demand for it in local and international markets is high and it has become a centrepiece of the province of Guimaras tourism. The locals are proud and protective of their products and the government clearly ruled out any importation of mango outside the island to prevent any generic degradation.
Guimaras mangoes seeds and pulp are confirmed for weevil free by the Animal and Plant Health inspection Service-United States Department of Agriculture (APHIS-USDA) and Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).
