China clay is also known as white clay. Primary clay formed by natural kaolinisation process. China Clay is naturally occurring hydrated Aluminium Silicate.

It is formed by decomposition of some part of feldspar mineral.White in color , Used in ceramic slip casting process, Pressing processes and forming process as a body former and filler. It mainly has oil absorbing properties, reduced shine and translucent properties.

It also provides hiding effect and reduces the usage of TiO2 to a great extent.

Chemical formula :- Al2O3. 2SiO2.2H2O.
