The printed fabrics feature bright color, clear outline, high color yield, even and uniform color, good penetration and good hand-feel. Sodium alginate is the optimum printing paste in modern printing & dyeing industry, it is widely used for cotton, wool, silk, nylon, synthetic fiber, particularly applicable to discharge printing paste preparation. It also can be used in warp sizing, it not only save grains, but also making the warp fiber not fluff, friction-resistant, no breakage, so that fiber weaving efficiency is improved. It works for both cotton fiber and synthetic fiber.
The sodium alginate has an impressive thickening ability makes it a great compound for dyeing as well as textile and printing. It offers fabric a slinky appearance and makes the dye in it hold on longer. This means that with sodium alginate colors in fabrics do not fade easily.

Sodium Alginate is a water-swollen, cross-linked polymer that is a product of a simple chemical reaction between monomers. It is a great water absorber, as structurally, the hydrophilic groups are attached to its polymeric backbone. It is resistant to dissolution because of the cross-linked network chains.
It is a white or yellowish powder which is odourless, tasteless & slowly soluble in water. It reacts with calcium salt to form a thermo-irreversible form, because of which it is widely used in molecular gastronomy.
