Salt spray test is also called as Fog Test. This is an accelerated environmental corrosion test in which metal specimens are exposed either continuously or intermittently to a fine mist of salt-water solution used to evaluate the resistance to corrosion of paints, coatings, or electrical connections. The appearance of corrosion products (oxides) is evaluated after a period of time. Test duration depends of the corrosion resistance of the coating; the more corrosion resistant the coating is, the longer the period in testing without showing signs of corrosion. In the salt spray test cabinet painted coated panels, automobile components i.e. Electro-plated, Painted, and Anodized etc are exposed to a mist of salt over a period of test duration. Application
The composite cyclic corrosion test chamber is capable of conducting traditional salt spray, dry-wet alternation mixed salt spray tests, as well as most automotive cyclic corrosion tests. Our Design
Grande's modular design allows you to add on additional features, depending on the number and type of tests required. One possible choice is to integrate the spray system with a regular temperature and humidity chamber to save money and floor space, while also creating an opportunity to simulate actual operating conditions your product may experience.
Our system uses multiple control solenoids to vary the water's spray volume/pressure. A holding tank prepares the water to the desired temperature, if required. A pump ensures the water is delivered in the proper pressure range. The water is fed to a motorized manifold that rotates the spray arms. Each spray arm has an adjustable valve to allow finer control of the spray.
Testing capabilities
The specification is modeled after and doesnt differ greatly. Details about the nozzle types and the rotating nature of the spray arms and pro duct table are also included in the requirements. Additionally, drip and car wash tests are also specified.
Heavy splash/shower
