DATA SHEET FOR EPOXY EPOXY COATING :- INTRODUCTION - EPOXY COATING (HYB) is a two part high solids solvent free epoxy phenolic resin based coating system designed for hard wearing, smooth surface finish for floors, walls and on steel structures. Nonskid surface finish can be achieved on floor, if required. FEATURES: 1) Hard Wearing 2) Non Dusting 3) Excellent Surface Finish 4) Non Smelling 5) Good Aesthetics 6) Highly Chemical Resistant APPLICATION: 1.Stir well before mixing Part A and Part B and mix in the prescribed ratio. 2.Apply one coat of EPOXY primer on the clean and dry surface. 3.EPOXY COATING (HYB) should be applied on the surface by brush or roller within 24 hrs. After application of primer coat it should be allowed to air dry for min. 4 hrs. Preferable in a dust free atmosphere. 4.Apply min. 2 coats with the intercoat interval of 6-8 hrs. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Application - Brush, Roller Mixing Ratio - As Directed on Packing Port Life - 30 Mins. Drying Time - Touch Dry- 30 Min, Hard Dry 6 Hrs. - Intercoat Interval 6-8 Hrs. It is most important therefore, that the substrate surfaces are correctly prepared prior to application. 1.Before application of the Epoxy coating (HYB) surface should be free from loose partials, rust, oils, grease or earlier coatings and should be totally dry. 2.New concrete or cementations surface should be placed at least 28 days and have a moisture content of less than 5% before application of Epoxy coating (HYB) 3.After surface is dry, all repair work like sealing of joints, cracks filling of cavities and crevices should be carried out. HEALTH & SAFETY - Keep the containers tightly closed when not in use. Avoid contact with skin & eyes. It comes in contact with the body, wash affected parts with plenty of water and contact a doctor. 1. Description: It is the raw material for making thermosetting resin, light curing epoxy resin coating, oil resistant coating and drying coating. Its copolymer emulsion is used for fiber finishing, fabric, leather and paper coating. Also used as wood, metal and other adhesives.

2. Typical recipes

Used as crosslinked monomer in acrylic emulsion. The amount of carboxyl-containing acrylic emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive is L % ~ 2% of the total monomer mass, and the initial adhesion will be greatly reduced if it exceeds 3%. For emulsion adhesives without carboxyl group, the general dosage is not more than 5%. The crosslinking reaction temperature of MMAM alone is high, generally 120 ~ 170Ã?ÂºC, and the addition of protic catalyst can reduce the crosslinking temperature. Acrylic acid (AA) can both provide hydrogen protons and copolymerize with acrylates, so MMAM should be used as a composite crosslinking agent with AA at a dosage of 3:2. Cross-linking agent HA can replace N- hydroxymethyl acrylamide, and does not contain formaldehyde.

3. Application scope

A. Can be used as crosslinking agent, widely used in fiber modified resin, processing dyes, plastic adhesives, soil stabilizers, etc.

B. Used for fiber modification, resin processing, adhesives and paper, leather, metal surface treatment agent.

A. All emulsions/additives are water-based and there is no risk of explosion when transported.

Application Areas:
In adhering the EKAFLEX dilatation band. When assembling and adhering all kinds of metal parts to concrete or steel parts. In all kinds of structural concrete repair. In all types of iron ores. In the placement of anchor elements. Concrete crack repair and insulation. In the bonding of ceramic, granite and marble plates. Bonding of the surfaces such as concrete, stone, metal, wood to each other and used between them.

Advantages: It cures quickly and it allows loading in a short time. Solvent free. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. High adhesion performance, bonds to many different. surfaces such as concrete, steel, metal, wood, stone, ceramic and granite. It is thixotropic and does not sag in vertical and overhead applications such as walls and ceilings. Composition A and B are in different colors and the formation of homogeneous mixture can be visually monitored. Water impermeable - It can stick even on moist surfaces. High mechanical endurance.
Preparation of Mixture: EKAFIX has two components. Component A (3.75kg) and Component B (1.25kg) is mixed in low speed (400-600 dv / min) mixer until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
EKAFLEX Band application:
EKAFLEX dilatation tapes are applied on both sides with a trowel or
spatula with a 1.5 mm thickness and a 40 mm wide strip of EKAFIX.
After EKAFLEX is poured, the same procedure is applied on top of the
band and the adhesive should not be exposed to mechanical stress
until fully dry. Do not affix EKAFLEX dilatation band joints with EKAFIX
epoxy adhesive. The joints must be glued with hot air supply.
The adhesive used in the cementation process of ceramic, granite, and
marble is applied on the surface by using a notched trowel. The piece
should be slightly glided during the placement and should get into the
final position in 30 minutes.
In general-purpose cementing, the adhesive should be applied on both
surfaces and materials should not be moved after being pressed
together until the adhesive dries.
