n NFT, seedlings are transplanted into shallow channels where a thin film of nutrient solution is continuously circulated. The channels are sloped away from a center aisle and drained at the ends back to the water reservoir.
Unlike traditional growing methods, there is no solid rooting medium with NFT. A root mat develops partly in the shallow stream of the re-calculating solution and partly above it.
