With major constituents being Davan-Ether, Davanone, Davana Furane and linalool, the oil is extracted using steam distillation process from flowering tops of Davana which is a small plant. With the oil having wide usage in perfumery industry, it blends well with most essential oils and has long history in aromatherapy applications. The oil also is a good aphrodisiac and as agent to combat anxiety. The oil is also regarded as being anti-infectious, soothing for dry rough skin as well as stimulating to endocrine system of body.
