Coco peat (cocopeat), also known as coir pith, coir fibre pith, coir dust, or simply coir, is made from coconut husks, which are by products of other industries that use coconuts. Coir waste from coir fiber industries is washed, heat-treated, screened and graded before being processed into coco peat products of various granularity and denseness, which are then used for horticultural and agricultural applications and as industrial absorbent. Usually shipped in the form of compressed bales, briquettes, slabs or discs, the end user usually expands and aerates the compressed coco peat by the addition of water. A single kilogram of coco peat will expand to 15 litres of moist coco peat
These coconut fiber is mainly used to replace foam materials in beds, seat cushion, coir mattress, coir door mats, geo textile, plant box, soil erosion prevention, matresses, car seats & sofas. Coco fiber has many advantages in these applications mentioned. Processed from raw coconut husk into coco fiber.

Famous Exports is one of the leading exporters of coir pith blocks from South India. Coir pith is sourced from de-fibring units in South India and only good sources of coir are selected to make the blocks. The coir pith is cleaned and sieved before it is briquetted into a 5 kg block.
The blocks are free from weeds and pathogens and are within safe EC and pH standards. Usage of coir pith blocks ensures high oxygen levels and thus good drainage properties. They reduce the dormancy period of seeds and promote early sporting in almost all flowering plants and vegetable crops. It can be used as a substitute for peat moss, for horticultural purposes and it can also be used for green houses, commercial and domestic gardens.
Many growers world over have started using coir pith Blocks instead of peat moss. We at assure you the best quality of coir pith blocks with low EC and pH levels to encourage luxuriant growth of plants.

Coconut fibers is an eco - friendly material which are found between the hard, internal shell of the outer coat of a coconut. After fully mature coconuts are harvested, they are put into machines to separate the long bristle fibres underneath the skin of the nut. This process is called wet-milling. The coconut fiber is relatively waterproof, and is one of the few enviromental materials that are resistant to damage by seawater.
