It is based on polypropylene film capacitor dielectric, plate is coated on the film on a very thin layer of conductive material, generally aluminum or galvanized aluminum, and then wound. The two ends of the wound core are sprayed with molten metal as capacitance leads, so the inductance of the capacitor is small. One of the biggest characteristics of it is self-healing property, it will not occur capacitor internal short circuit.
