Fruit of the walnut, to which the hair has been removed, being covered by the shell, divided into two halves that enclose the edible seed.
Nuts without shell:
The seed is formed by two roughly similar halves. Which has been dried, free of peel and woody membrane. Ready for consumption

That is why since 2012 the technical committee has worked in a quality standard that sought to update the industry standards in line with international requirements and the processes to produce in Chile. In 2013 we launched the quality standard for walnuts in shell, shelled manually and shelled mechanically.The temperate climate of Chile’s central region, with its moderate temperatures and warm dry summers, is one of the best in the world for high quality fruit production: fresh fruit, dried fruit and especially walnuts.
Chile’s geographic position in the South Hemisphere, gives an enormous advantage to the country. Chile is able to supply the foreign market with walnuts of recognized quality and freshness, during the months of the highest demand (April to December).

The Andes in the east, the Pacific Ocean in the west, the Atacama desert in the north and Antarctica in the south. All of these barriers protect agriculture from harmful and external diseases. Quality is a priority for the Chilean Walnut Commission. In 2013, the quality standard for shelled walnuts has been initiated. All Chilean walnut producers work with these standards to provide a high quality product to their customers.

1) Goods: WALNUT LOGS
- Info about Walnut (Juglans australis): The heartwood is chocolate-brown and generally darker than the North American black walnut (Juglans nigra), sometimes with a purplish cast.
- Characteristics of the product: Logs freshly cut. The Logs have Heartwood and the sapwood and bark. The Bark and Sapwood remain on logs to avoid cracks on Surface. Each log is sealed by wax at both ends to prevent cracks on the tops during transit time from port of loading to port of destination.
- Quality: A-grade and better.

b) Lengths = 240cm and longer.
