One of the requirements from China when importing dragon fruits from Vietnam is that when packing goods into containers, the packaging must clearly state each type of goods (type 1, type 2, and 3 fruits), net weight each type of goods
Type 1: Beautiful color, big fruit, packed in cartons from 32-36 fruits/carton, weighing from 10kg/barrel, 20kg/barrel, 25kg/barrel, outside with red plastic belt.
Type 2: Color, fruit size is worse than type 1, packed in a carton of 36 - 50 fruits/carton, each box is the same as type 1 (10kg/barrel, 20kg/barrel, 25kg/carton), outside is fastened with a blue plastic belt.
Type 3: The color and size of the fruit is worse than the type 2, packed in a carton of 36 - 50 fruits/carton, the weight of each box is from 10kg/carton; 20kg/barrel and 25kg/barrel, the outside is fastened with yellow plastic wire.

The flavor of passion fruit is astringent and refreshingly tart when the fruit is fresh, becomes sweeter and more complex as the fruit ripens. Its flavor can be compared with citrus, melon, pineapple, and kiwi. When overripe, the pulp can take on a richly complex, almost fermented flavor. Quality to export Vietnam dragon fruits are sorted into 3 grades, only the best product can export for long transit time:
Grade 1: outstanding quality for exporting with the defecting surface is less than 2 cm2. The green skin is not acceptable. Must have red skin, with no damage, or any unusual looking, Stem must be green color, hard.
Grade 2: good quality for exporting with the defecting surface is about 2-4 cm4. The green skin is acceptable. This grade is favored by China market due to cheaper price.
Grade 3 : With some defect that do not affect to the taste and reserved of fruit, To sell in domestic market.
