In the most general terms colloidal silica is a dispersion of amorphous silicon dioxide (silica) particles in water. These amorphous silica particles are produced by
polymerizing silica nuclei from silicate solutions under alkaline conditions to form nanometer sized silica sols with high surface area. A charge is then induced on the
silica nanoparticle surface that allows the silica particles to repel one another and form a stable dispersion, or colloid.
Colloidal Silica is readily soluble in water in all proportions. It has a low viscosity, which is comparable to that of water. The individual silica particles get
thoroughly dispersed in water.

It is rebellious to Oxidizing & Non-oxidizing Acids, and Chlorine Gas besides Hydrofluoric Acid.
Formation of Mortar usually consists mixture & Powder. In sequence to obtain good working correspondence, the ordinary mixing proportion is 1 Pbw of Suspension & 3 pbw of Particles. This proportion will slightly change depending on the heat and working situations.
Make small quantities of Mortar. Combine the Extract completely before apply. Place the Suspension in a suitable mixing pan and unite the particles to it. Mix completely with a spatula or Blade. The mixing procedure shall be extended until a uniform compound is achieved.
Get sure that all the Mortar is used from the suspension pan before next batch is made.
