Ascorbyl Palmitate commonly used in the food industry as a natural preservative for oils, vitamins and colors. It is used in baking as an antioxidant or preservant to improve product shelf life of fat-based systems, like frostings and fillings. It may also be used as a functional ingredient to enrich foods with vitamin C. Ascorbyl Palmitate also serves to regenerate Vitamin E creating a synergy of anti-oxidant activity. Used mainly in infant formula, vegetable oils, cosmetics, animal fats and pharmaceutical products.

Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a water-soluble, non-irritating, stable derivative of Vitamin C. It has the same potential as vitamin C to boost skin collagen synthesis but is effective in significantly lower concentrations and can be used at concentrations as low as 10% to suppress melanin formation (in skin-whitening solutions). It is also important to note that Magnesuim Ascorbyl Phosphate may be better choice than Vitamin C for people with sensitive skin and those wishing to avoid any exfoliating effects since many Vitamin C formulas are highly acidic (and therefore produce exfoliating effects).
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a very stable vitamin C derivatives (L-Ascorbic acid mono-dihydrogen phosphate magnesium salt) which does not degrade in formulas containing water.
