Hormones are not added to chicken feed or administered to commercial meat chickens or breeders in Australia.
Hormone supplementation is a practice that has been banned internationally for fifty years. The ban is supported by the Australian Chicken Meat Federation and all Australian chicken producers.
Chickens contain only the hormones that their bodies naturally produce.

Chickens are cared for by our farmers, and transported, according to animal welfare codes.
The health and wellbeing of our flocks is of paramount importance. We insist on the maintenance of very high company standards when it comes to biosecurity. These standards are reflected in the Australian standards, which are among the most stringent in the world.
The aim of these measures is to prevent the spread of diseases on and between farms and include:
On farm quarantine and visitor disinfectant precautions.
An effective hygiene regime in order to maintain a healthy flock.
Clean drinking water, no untreated dam or river water can be used.
The use of antibiotics is strictly controlled. They are administered under vetinerary supervision only in the event of a threat to flock health.
We operate all processing facilities according to a Hazard and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program. Our Quality Assurance department routinely monitors and validates all aspects of food safety to ensure the integrity of our products. All of our premises are export approved facilities.
Chicken is shipped with a small amount of marrinade to stop the birds from being dry when eaten. SOY is used in process for allergen warning
