Okuma makaira machined aluminum spinning reels were designed using okuma's 4d concept process and feature a machine-cut stainless steel main gear and forged machine-cut body, sideplates, and rotor. With 23 oil-retaining o-rings and gaskets, and sealed internal mechanisms, these spinning reels are protected from the harsh elements brought on by saltwater.
