Soft Roll Cast Padding are available in low adherent gauze cover and is applied over dressing to provide low adherent wound interface. They are made to have excellent absorbency, which promotes healing healing and also protects the wound. The white cast padding is non- woven and is made using viscose fibers, which brings comfort to the patient while plastered. These cast padding are used before any type of bandage to protect the skin or where swelling is expected. Specially used for sensitive or tender skin, these cast padding can also be used as Leg Roll, Long sponges etc. Cast Paddings give excellent skin tolerance, Perfectly conforms to your body contours, allowing easy body movements. It acts as a cushion between the skin and the plaster. Prevents skin maceration. There are less chances of pressures sores occurring in your body. The padding allows normal breathing of the skin. Absorbs exudates and sweat. The paddings has low moisture retention, hence reducing the risk of skin maceration and minimizes the formation of ridges. Orthopedic Padding protects bony prominences, and can be used under all types of casting materials. Its is a economical, user-friendly, and safe product. Made from 100% polyester fibers. They have no optical brighteners. Available in various sizes in roll form with paper wrapper.

Product Description:

Ansen Orthopedic Casting Tape is made of knitted fibreglass or polyester fabric, impregnated with water activated polyurethane resin. It is used for orthopedic illness or fracture from external wound, to preserve fixation or wounded joint. It is an upgraded product of tranditional plaster bandage.

Using Method:

a) Put on 1-2 layers stockinette or casting padding to protect the fixed part.

b) Put on medical gloves

c) Open the package, immerse the casting tape into 2 to 24 room temperature water for 4-6 seconds and squeeze 2-3 times in order to remove extra water.

d) Take the cast out of water, and squeeze out extra water.

e) Wrap spirally on the fixed part, overlapping the previous layer by one half or two thirds the wideth of the roll. 3-4 layers are enough for a non-weight-bearing cast, and 5-6 layers are normally adequate for a weight-bearing cast.

f) Make shape of the casting tape according to real needs. Make forward and backward movements in order to achieve good contact between layers.

g) The operation needs to be done in 3-5 minutes. And allow 10 mins for the cast to sufficiently cure. Patients are not allowed to move in these 10 mins. In room temperature, the product will sufficiently cure in 30 minutes after taking out of water.

h) To remove the cast, pls use electric plaster saw.
