Product description
Heavy weight drill pipe (hwdp)is an inermediate wight drill stem component whiche is used in conjuction with the drill pipes and drill collars, hwdp is availiable in standard, spiral and nong magnetic design. In same applications, heavy-weight drill pipe also can be used instead of the drill collars.

Our hwdp is mabe from one-piece aisi 4145h modified quenched and tempered steel. It is designed for tough drilling environment in vertical and directiona member between drill collar and drill pipe. For directional holes hwdp provides weight on -it and additional stiffness to prevent buckling.

Feature and benefits:
1. A center upset or wear pad to increase tube life, reduce hole drage adn differential stickling problems.
2.Conncetions are completed(phosphate coated)to protect them from the elements after machining and to help prevent galling upon initial make up.
3.Thread roots are cold rolled on api and h-90 connections. And pressed steel thread protectors are supplied for standard connections.
4.Handanding and internal coating can be provide on customers request.

Standard Heavyweight Drill Pipe (HWDP), was developed to provide a gradual transition from heavy drill collars to relatively lightweight drill pipe. This intermediate weight pipe has a wall thickness of approximately one inch, and helps prevent stress concentration at the top of drill collars. HWDP also allows drilling at higher RPMs, reducing torque and differential pressure sticking.

HWDP is well-suited for directional drilling. Because it bends easily, it simplifies directional control and minimizes connection fatigue problems common to high-angle or horizontal drilling.

For extended reach and horizontal wells, especially in wells where the total vertical depth to total measured depth ratio is low, high strength heavyweight drill pipe is often used high in the hole toapply weight on the bit.

Various combinations of HWDP, drill collars and standard drill string components can be created to meet the challenges of severe drilling conditions.
