We inspect every piece by cutting a piece from its body, every forging should have an inspection report with delivery.

Stabilizer with Hardfacing & thread
The Stabilizer manufactured by our factory has three types according to its body/mandrel, The mechanical performances of the stabilizer are complied with API Spec.7.:
1.Integral Blade Stabilizer
2.Interchangeable Sleeve Stabilizer.

The body (or mandrel) is made of modified alloy steel, and fully heat treated for prospective hardness, strength and impact strength. Through ultrasonic testing and magnetic testing, it is proved up to flowing grade.

The connections are up to API standard which have stress relief grooves and are cold rolled. The flank of thread is phosphatized or plated copper, coated with thread dope and equipped with thread protectors.

It is mainly the spiral blades (usually three blades, also can be four blades under the customer's require) , which rub against the borehole wall. The working surface of the blades is hard faced. The hardfacing type we can provide are HF1000, HF2000, HF3000, HF4000. It is preferred operation that tungsten carbide inserts are cold inserted into the working surface of blades including its bevels. Braze welding tungsten carbide grains are also adopted according to customer's require.

Stabilizers are fairly short subs which have blades attached to external surface. By providing support for the BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) at certain points they can be used to control the trajectory of the well. The blades can be either straight or spiral in shape. Spiral blades can give 360�¯�¿�½?�?�° contact with the borehole.

Orchid Energy Co can provide string stabilizer and near bit stabilizer, straight integral blade stabilizer(IBS),spiral integral blade stabilizer(IBS), replaceable sleeve stabilizer, non-rotating stabilizer, and non magnetic stabilizers etc. Stabilizers are manufactured from 4145H alloy steel bar or forgings, quenched and tempered to 285-341 Brinell hardness; Hard facing types are HF1000, HF2000, HF3000, HF4000, HF5000. All above products are manufactured according to API Spec 7-1 standard.
