MBS: It has good compatibility with PVC and is commonly used in transparent products, but its price is relatively high and it is not suitable for long-term outdoor use.
ABS: The usual dosage is 5-20 parts, but it has poor weather resistance and is not suitable for long-term outdoor use.
EVA: Often used in combination with other impact resistant resins, but it is difficult to obtain transparent products.
History and Development
PVC processing aids were first developed by the American company Rohm and Haas in 1958, and similar products were subsequently developed by countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Germany. With the widespread application of PVC products, processing aids have been widely used since the 1970s.
Market and application areas
At present, the world's major manufacturers of PVC processing aids include Mitsubishi from Japan, Zhongyuan Chemical, Rohm and Haas from the United States, and Bear from Germany. The Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology and Shanxi Institute of Chemical Technology were among the earliest to engage in research on PVC processing aids in China. Shanghai Shanhu Chemical Plant was the first to achieve industrial production in the early 1980s.

MBS (methyl methacrylate butadiene styrene copolymer): MBS has good compatibility with PVC and can significantly improve the impact strength of PVC while maintaining its transparency. MBS is commonly used for transparent PVC products, but its weather resistance is poor and it is not suitable for long-term outdoor use.
