Canrill telecentric illuminator machine uses optical devices to direct light from fiber-optic guides or LEDs to the object being examined, producing high-contrast silhouettes. The collimating light leaves the illuminator and remains on the collimating surface as it strikes the object. In contrast, light from a standard backlight expands and interferes with each other, resulting in diffuse reflection.
