Motorcycle three-phase rectifying regulator (dc 12v)
A) function: switch type design with quick charging, good regulating and oil saving. It can prolong the life span of the storage battery.
B)work principle: generally the motorcycle rectifying regulators use the design of short circuit discharging type. When the voltage of the storage battery reaches its rated voltage point, the control circuit of the rectifying regulator starts to work. Two scrs (silicon controlled rectifiers) simultaneously carry out the short circuit discharging to the positive and negative half-wave voltage (the scr will consume a large amount of electricity power and waste energy when it discharges short-circuitedly), and they weaken the regulating effects of the charging currents. However, the switch-type rectifying regulators use the design of switch type. When the voltage of the storage battery reaches its rated voltage point, the control circuit of the rectifying regulator starts to work. It orders the cutoff of the charging currents to achieve the regulating effects. The charging stops. The rectifying regulator itself consumes only some weak control currents. The magneto load is reduced, and the oil consumption drops. Thus the oil is saved to a degree of 20%.
