Lump Sulfur, purity of 99.50%.

$90 - $120 / Metric Ton (FOB)
MOQ: Not Specified
Supplier From Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia

Lump sulfur, also known as granular or rock sulfur, is typically characterized by a purity of 99.80% or higher, with a maximum ash content of 0.05%.
It should also have a limited acidity (H2SO4) of 0.02% or 0.03% and minimal moisture content (0.5% or 0.2%).

More detailed breakdown of lump sulfur specifications:
Purity:
Dry Basis: 99.80% minimum purity is a common specification.
Other Standards: Some standards like Refinery Specifications, may specify a purity of 99.98%.

Impurities:
Ash Content: A maximum ash content of 0.05% is a typical requirement.
Acidity: A maximum acidity (H2SO4) of 0.02% or 0.03% is common.
Organic Substances: Some specifications limit organic substances to 0.01% or 0.03% maximum.
Moisture: A maximum moisture content of 0.5% or 0.2% is generally specified.
Mechanical Impurities: Some specifications require the absence of mechanical impurities like paper, wood, or sand.
Other Impurities: Some standards specify limits for arsenic, selenium, tellurium, and lead impurities.

Color and Appearance:
Color: Bright yellow is the typical color specification.

Other Considerations:
Test Methods:
Specifications often include test methods, such as ASTM D-4239, ASTM D-1509, ASTM D-1613, and ASTM D-2790, for determining the various parameters.

Bulk Density:
Granular sulfur has a bulk density of around 70 lb/cu ft (1121.29 kg/cu m).

Solubility:
Sulfur is insoluble in water, partially soluble in acetone, and slightly soluble in diethyl ether and alcohol.

Sulphur is mostly produced in refineries as a by-product and used mainly to produce sulfuric acid which is widely used in the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers and used to make detergents, plastics, and other products.

Granular or granule sulphur is a form of sulphur that easy to handle, has a custom shape and seems like pea grains. Granular sulphur is also produced in refineries but with an additional process with respect to lump sulphur. Molten liquid sulphur is sprayed in granulator unit and exposed to a rapid cooling where sulphur particles are created.

Packing: 25kg bags, 50kg bags, 1000kg / 1200kg jumbo bags, and customer's marking bags.

Handling and Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from moisture, heat. Protect the materials from the sun or rain during transportation.

Granular sulfur is the raw material state of sulfur. Granular sulfur consists of small yellow particles that quickly disperse or break down in the soil. Its physical form is solid, and as expected, it has a sulfuric odor. The material is soft, easily crumbles, and is insoluble in water, although it does dissolve in some organic solvents such as carbon disulfide.

It is sulfur that has been taken from the refinery or extracted from the mine and has not been processed. Sulfur can be found in pure form in nature, as well as in combination with other elements. Granular Sulfur is the unprocessed commercial name of the element Sulfur, that is, sulfur with its well-known name. Due to its physical condition, Lamp is the general name used for Sulfur, which is also called chips. Granular sulfur in agriculture, due to the hardness of its structure, oxidation is impossible, it can be used by making it powdered or micronized by physical interventions. In addition, such products are also called Granular Sulfur due to the fact that Powdered or Liquid sulfur can be mixed with other components to make it granular.

Granulated sulphur is mainly used in the production of sulfuric acid, phosphorus fertilizers, plant protection chemicals, paper, food industry, agriculture, auto tires, explosives, chemicals and dyes, wastewater treatment, such as wastewater treatment also finds a wide range of uses and in the steel industry. Granulated sulphur is used in the manufacture of sulfuric acid, phosphate fertilizers and plant protection products, and in the steel industry.
