Coatings: Cardanol is used in surface coatings and paints.
Frictional materials: Cardanol is used in frictional materials.
Surfactants: Cardanol is used in surfactants that disperse pigments in water-based inks.
Plasticizer: Cardanol can be used as a plasticizer for poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), which can improve tensile properties, cure times, and aging behavior.
