Description: We got the brainwave to create the Penny Sneakies while watching Jane Birkin's (rather controversial) Wonderwall. The psychedelic art direction, the eccentric sets, and the colorful fashion had us completely drooling over the 60s Hippie scene. The sneakers have a clean, ivory jacquard base that acts as the perfect canvas for the multi-colored design. The upper and the back feature threadwork embroidery in a linear pattern, and the toe box features doodle style, floral embroidery done using colorful beads, sequins, and threadwork.
