PTFE packing

It is a interlock braided packing manufactured from pure ptfe yarns pretreated with ptfe dispersion, plus a break-in lubricant to reduce the coefficient of friction.
This is a dimensionally stable packing, yet relatively soft and pliable, which has excellent lubricating and running characteristics. It handles all acids, alkalis, and most chemicals, with the exception of molten alkali metals. It is suited for high speed rotary shaft service and is also commonly used on reciprocating pumps, mixers, agitators, and reactors.

PTFE Packing With Chemical Resistance And Low Friction CoefficienT
PTFE packing or Teflon packing is a braided packing made of high purity PTFE (poly tetrafluoroethylene) yarn without soaking any PTFE dispersion and lubrication. PTFE packing is a kind of self-lubricating, chemical inert, non-toxic and non-hazardous material.

In addition, PTFE is called "king of plastic" and causes no pollution to the medium or liquid. More importantly, PTFE is known for its outstanding resistance to chemical attack, low friction coefficient, low water absorption and wide temperature tolerance (including cryogenic applications).

Due to the above advantages, PTFE packing is widely used in chemical processing, food processing and pharmacy.

APPLICATIONS

PTFE packing is ideal for general valve and pump (including rotating, centrifugal and reciprocating pump) applications in chemical processing, food processing, cryogenic applications, industrial gas processing and hospital.

The packing is made of white asbestos fiber cords impregnated with ptfe dispersion.(addtition of lubricant is operational.) it is soft in texture and suitable as the sealing of pumps for liquidated chemicals. However, packing impregnated with lubricants is reco-mended for use with reciprocating pumps or for the sealing in places where linear velocity is up to 10m/s.

WFY-6100 A is a packing with A grade of quality, the yarn with good tensile strength, and excellent thermal conductivity.
WFY-6100 B is economical gPTFE packing, braided from normal graphite PTFE yarn.

Application:
For use in pumps, valves, reciprocating and rotating shafts, mixers and agitators. Especially designed for services involving surface speeds and temperature higher than those normally specified for pure PTFE packings. Can be safely used in all chemical pump applications with the exception of molten alkali metals, fluoride, fuming nitric acid and other strong oxidizing agents. It is also against water, steam, petroleum derivatives, vegetable oil and solvents.

It is a braided packing made of pure PTFE thin yarns fiber, almost complete chemical inertia, dimensional stability, low friction coefficient to compression, and excellent. Resistance to compression are qualities classifying this packing among the best ones available in the industrial field. It is suitable for all the chemical compounds (excepting cast alkaline metals and the gaseous fluorine), alternative and rotary motions shafts operating at low peripheral speed, rods, pistons valve stems, expansion joints, etc.
The packing impregnated with PTFE are also available .

Graphite and ptfe packing description:

1. Style 6200gfo was made from graphite-ptfe compound without lubricant. Very good thermal conductivity. High flexibility and volumetric stability, no embrittlement or ageing. Long life with good operating efficiency. Gentle treatment of shafts.

2.Style 6200 has lubricant , which is the only difference with style 6200gfo.

3.Thermal conductivity of style 6200gfo is better than style 6200's

Ptfe graphite packing

Interlock braid, using ptfe/graphite yarn and a high temperature break-in lubricant yarn is formed from expanded ptfe in which fine particles of pure graphite have been encapsulated. The resulting packing combines the chemical resistance of ptfe with the heat dissipation characteristics of graphite, thus allowing much higher shaft speeds than conventional ptfe packings.
It is chemically inert over the entire 0-14 ph range with these exceptions: molten alkali metals, flourides, aleum, fuming nitric acid, aqua regia, and other strong oxidizing agents. Gh-120 is an excellent general service and corrosive service packing. It is commonly used in pumps, valves, rotating and reciprocating shafts, mixers and agitators, and is especially designed for services involving surface speeds and temperatures higher than those that can be handled by pure ptfe packing.
