Bonding (Diffusion bonded) crystals consist of one laser crystal and one or two undoped material. They are combined by optical contact method and further bonded under high temperature. Diffusion Bonded Crystal helps to decrease thermal lens effect considerably.

What are diffusion bonded crystals?

Diffusion bonded crystals are composed of a laser crystal and other undoped materials. They are optically contacted first and then bonded further under high temperature. Diffusion bonded crystals are able to significantly mitigate thermal lensing effect of laser crystals, thus providing integral components for compact lasers. Photonchina has been supplying standard assembly and special customized bonding crystals for customers in various applications. These diffusion bonded composite crystals have different wedge structures, Brewster angles, etc. It is mainly used to effectively reduce the thermal effect of solid-state high-power lasers.

Diffusion bonding production in Photonchina:

1)Optical contact between the crystals to be bonded.
2)Increase the temperature of crystals to 2/3 of the melting point in a gradual way and exert pressure to combine the two parts together.
3) Hold on the bonded crystals for a certain period at this high temperature, diffusion effect takes place.
4)Cooling slowly the crystals (24 hours) down to room temperature.

Diffusion Bonded Sintered Wire Cloth

Sintered mesh is a rigid structured composite consisting of multi-layers of woven wire mesh, manufactured from a special lamination design and undergoing a combination of processes such as rolling and vacuum sintering.

5-Layers sintered stainless steel mesh is our standard sintered mesh structure. Its filtration rating ranging from 5 micron to 300 microns. It can then be cut and fabricated into various discs, tubes, filter cartridges, and flat panels.

Feature: Sintered mesh can maintain the simple structure and even pore distribution characteristics of ordinary woven wire mesh. Multi-layered diffusion-bonded stainless steel mesh is a type of sintered stainless steel mesh that is created through the bonding of multiple layers of wire meshes with varying openings and diameters using the process of sintering or diffusion bonding. The sintering process involves subjecting the stacked wire meshes to heat and pressure in a vacuum environment, resulting in the fusion of the wires and the formation of a strong and durable multi-layered mesh structure.

To produce our multi-layered laminate, a fine woven wire mesh is placed between two layers of coarser square woven meshes. These layers are then combined with two layers of a robust Dutch woven wire mesh and bonded through sintering, resulting in a sturdy plate-like structure. The fine woven wire mesh acts as the filtration layer and can be customized to achieve specific filtration ratings, ranging from 1 micron to 300 microns.
