Benzylamine :is an intermediate in the preparation of insecticides such as imidacloprid and imidacloprid, as well as an intermediate in the pharmaceutical sulfamethoxzole. Used as an analytical reagent, as a dye and pharmaceutical intermediate, as a precipitant for the determination of molybdate, vanadate, tungstate, titanium, cobalt, lanthanum, praseodymium, and neodymium in microcrystalline analysis. Used as an intermediate in dyes, pharmaceuticals, and polymers.
Intermediate in organic synthesis. For example, benzylamine is acetylated to obtain acetylbenzylamine. Benzylamine is an important intermediate in organic synthesis. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is mainly used to synthesize Chemicalbook Homosulfamin and Napaltan acetate (used in microcrystalline analysis to determine molybdate, vanadate, tungstate, thorium, zirconium, lanthanum, praseodymium, and neodymium as precipitants). Organic analysis is used to distinguish various carboxylic acids (reacting with carboxylate esters to produce N-benzylamine derivatives, distinguishing various carboxylic acids according to different melting points), and qualitative testing of metal organic compounds.
